Our architectural synthetic turf installations prioritize heavy civil ground preparation. We excavate down to stable sub-soil, build a permeable compacted crushed-rock base, and integrate geotextile weed barriers to ensure structural stability and high-volume drainage capability.

Excavation & sub-soil grading

Excavating organic soil to a depth of 100mm–120mm to establish a firm, stable foundation free of organic decay.

Crushed rock sub-base & compaction

Installing Fine Crushed Rock (FCR) in layered stages, compacted using heavy plate vibrators to achieve maximum structural integrity.

Screeding & geotextile barrier

Applying a 20mm fine crusher dust screed layer for absolute flatness, covered with a commercial-grade needle-punched weed membrane.

Turf stretching & seam joining

Unrolling synthetic turf, tension-stretching to eliminate ripples, and bonding seams using heavy-duty polyurethane joining tape.

Silica sand infill & power brushing

Infilling with rounded, kiln-dried silica sand using drop spreaders, followed by mechanical power brushing to stand all fibers upright.

Frequently asked questions.

Synthetic fibers naturally absorb more heat than natural grass. However, our CoolBlade series and light-colored silica sand infill keep surface temperatures up to 20% cooler. A quick spray with a hose will also cool the surface instantly on hot days.

Solid waste is cleaned up as normal. Rain or a simple hose rinse washes liquid waste through the permeable backing and crushed rock base. For pet-heavy zones, we utilize organic ZeoFill infill which neutralizes ammonia odors naturally.

Yes. When installing over hard surfaces like concrete or paving, we utilize a specialized shock-pad underlayment layer to ensure adequate drainage, cushioning, and seam stability without telegraphing sub-surface cracks.
